Au o structur\u0103 pentameric\u0103, 5 molecule de IgM fiind legate printr-un oligopeptid jonc\u0163ional. Factorul reumatoid (majoritatea cazurilor) \u015fi izoaglutininele (\u03b1 si \u03b2) de grup\u0103 sanguin\u0103 ABO apar\u0163in acestei clase<sup>5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IgM reprezint\u0103 tipul de anticorpi produ\u015fi ini\u0163ial \u00een cursul r\u0103spunsului imun \u015fi prima clas\u0103 de imunoglobuline sintetizate de f\u0103t sau nou-n\u0103scut. IgM nu traverseaz\u0103 placenta. Din aceste motive demonstrarea anticorpilor IgM specifici este utila \u00een evaluarea stadiului infec\u0163iei (infec\u0163ie acuta: sunt prezen\u0163i anticorpii IgM; infec\u0163ie cronica: predomina anticorpii IgG) \u015fi a probabilita\u0163ii infec\u0163iei congenitale (un nou-n\u0103scut cu anticorpi IgM este infectat; un nou-n\u0103scut cu anticorpi IgG a dobandit pasiv, transplacentar, anticorpi materni).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sindromul imunodeficien\u0163ei hiper-IgM se caracterizeaz\u0103 prin absen\u0163a IgG \u015fi IgA din ser, asociat\u0103 cu o cre\u015ftere marcat\u0103 a IgM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Macroglobulinele produse \u00een boala Waldenstr\u00f6m apar\u0163in clasei IgM \u015fi pot induce un sindrom de hipervascozitate a serului. Un nivel monoclonal &gt;2 g\/dL reprezint\u0103 un criteriu major de diagnostic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cre\u015fteri policlonale ale IgM se \u00eentalnesc\u00a0\u00een diverse condi\u0163ii infec\u0163ioase sau inflamatorii. Nivelul IgM este tipic crescut\u00a0\u00een ciroza biliar\u0103 primitiv\u0103. Sc\u0103deri ale IgM se \u00eenregistreaz\u0103\u00a0\u00een hipogamaglobulinemia congenital\u0103 sau dobandit\u0103, caracterizat\u0103 clinic prin infec\u0163ii recurente<sup>4<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p
