Sunt anticorpii majori produ\u015fi ca r\u0103spuns la un contact secundar cu un antigen. Str\u0103bat endoteliile \u015fi placenta \u015fi induc pasiv imunitatea la nou n\u0103scut. Neutralizeaz\u0103 toxinele bacteriene \u015fi func\u0163ioneaz\u0103 ca opsonine (se leag\u0103 de suprafa\u0163a bacterian\u0103 favoriz\u00e2nd fagocitoza)<sup>5.<\/sup><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sc\u0103derile semnificative de IgG, de cauz\u0103 congenital\u0103 sau dob\u00e2ndit\u0103, cresc susceptibilitatea individual\u0103 pentru infec\u0163ii bacteriene. Astfel, \u00een cazul pacien\u0163ilor cu infec\u0163ii repetate trebuie verificat nivelul imunoglobulinelor serice deoarece, \u00een cazul unui deficit, pot beneficia de tratament cu gamaglobuline.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pe de alt\u0103 parte, niveluri crescute de IgG se \u00eent\u00e2lnesc la persoanele imunocompetente, ca r\u0103spuns la o mare varietate de procese infec\u0163ioase sau inflamatorii. Prezen\u0163a anticorpilor IgG specifici a fost demonstrat\u0103 pentru numeroase organisme; \u00eempreun\u0103 cu determinarea IgM specifice contribuie la diagnosticul serologic de infec\u0163ie acut\u0103 sau cronic\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O cauz\u0103 major\u0103 de cre\u015ftere policlonal\u0103 a IgG o reprezint\u0103 sindromul imunodeficien\u0163ei dob\u00e2ndite.
