O cantitate mica de calciu (5%) este difuzibila dar neionizata, fiind reprezentata de citrat, fosfat si bicarbonat de calciu.<\/p>\n<p>Restul calciului plasmatic se gaseste sub forma ionica sau libera si constituie fractiunea fiziologic activa in procesele de hemostaza si de reglare a excitabilitatii neuromusculare<sup>1<\/sup> si concentratia sa plasmatica este direct reglata de PTH si 1,25(OH)<sub>2<\/sub>\u0413<sub>3<\/sub><sup>5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Determinarea calciului ionic ofera indicatii despre efectul proteinelor totale si albuminei asupra nivelului calciului seric. Astfel, acidoza sau o reducere a pH-ului dupa recoltarea probei determina cresterea calciului ionic datorita activitatii metabolice a celulelor sanguine (de exemplu, o scadere a pH-ului cu 0.1 determina o crestere a calciului ionic cu aproximativ 0.2 mg\/dL); alcaloza sau cresterea pH-ului dupa recoltarea probei determina scaderea calciului ionic datorata eliminarii CO<sub>2<\/sub> din proba<sup>5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Calciul ionic prezinta variatii circadiene semnificative, creste dupa efort fizic si scade postprandial<sup>5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u0411\u0438\u0431\u043b\u0438\u043e\u0433\u0440\u0430\u0444\u0438\u044f<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">1.
