Complementul C3<\/sub> reprezint\u0103 70% din totalul proteinelor sistemului complement, fiind implicat \u00een activarea complementului at\u00e2t pe calea clasic\u0103 c\u00e2t \u015fi pe cea alternativ\u0103.<\/p>\n

\u04123<\/sub> este sintetizat \u00een ficat, macrofage, fibrobla\u015fti, celulele limfoide \u015fi tegument. Impreun\u0103 cu celelalte componente ale sistemului complement, C3<\/sub> poate fi consumat \u00een cursul diverselor reac\u0163ii imunologice antigen-anticorp1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Deficien\u0163a ereditar\u0103 de C3 <\/sub>este o anomalie rar\u0103, transmis\u0103 autozomal recesiv, caracterizat\u0103 clinic prin infec\u0163ii recurente, at\u00e2t cu bacterii Gram pozitive c\u00e2t \u015fi Gram negative (pneumonie, meningita, impetigo)5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n
