Parazitul prezinta doua forme: vegetativa si chistica si se localizeaza in intestinul subtire, mai ales la nivelul\u00a0 duodenului. Forma chistica reprezinta forma de inmultire, de rezistenta a parazitului in mediul extern, si in acelasi timp stadiul infectant. Pe masura ce fluxul intestinal poarta formele vegetative (rezultate din dechistarea chisturilor ingerate) catre portiunile terminale ale intestinului, incepe procesul de inchistare. Chisturile sunt eliminate odata cu materiile fecale si sunt foarte rezistente in conditii de temperatura si umiditate scazute, precum si in apa clorinata. Infectia se realizeaza pe cale digestiva prin intermediul mainilor murdare, a alimentelor si apei contaminate<sup>1;4<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Metoda imunologica de depistare a antigenului Giardia in fecale prezinta avantajul de a detecta si chisturile distruse, spre deosebire de examenul microscopic, care poate detecta numai chisturile intacte <sup>2;3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Pregatire pacient<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pacientul va evita:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>inainte de recoltare: examenul radiologic gastrointestinal baritat, administrarea de laxative;<\/li>\n<li>in saptamana premergatoare recoltarii, administrarea anumitor medicamente : bismut, Metamucil, uleiuri minerale, Tetraciclina, antiamoebiene, antidiareice, antiacide<sup>2;5<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Specimen recoltat <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 materii fecale din orice moment al zilei; se recolteaza cate o portiune de marimea unei alune, din 3 locuri diferite ale bolului fecal <sup>2<\/sup>. Cantitatea optima de materii fecale este de aproximativ 2 g din scaun format sau aproximativ 2 ml din scaun lichid<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Cauze de respingere a probei<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>specimen obtinut cu uleiuri minerale, bismut, compusi de magneziu;<\/li>\n<li>recipient murdar pe exterior;<\/li>\n<li>specimen contaminat cu urina<sup>2;5<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Recipient de recoltare <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 recipient de unica folosinta pentru fecale bine inchis cu capac; este interzisa adaugarea de substante conservante<sup>2;5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Stabilitate proba <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 cateva ore la temperatura camerei sau la frigider pana a doua zi<sup>4<\/sup>.<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Prelucrare necesara dupa recoltare <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 conform instructiunilor specifice de lucru. Analiza se executa din materii fecale proaspat emise (de preferat). Daca acest lucru nu este posibil proba va fi pastrata la 2-8\u00b0C<sup>2;5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Metod\u0103 <\/em><\/strong>- <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">imunocromatografic<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u0103<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/span> .<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Valori de referin\u0163a <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Antigen Giardia \u00een fecale negativ<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Limite \u015fi interferen\u0163e<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rezultatele testului trebuie interpretate \u00een context clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Un rezultat pozitiv nu exclude prezen\u0163a altor patogeni.<\/p>\n<p>Un rezultat negativ nu exclude \u00een general infec\u0163ia; acesta se poate datora unei excre\u0163ii intermitente a parazitului<sup>1-3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u0411\u0438\u0431\u043b\u0438\u043e\u0433\u0440\u0430\u0444\u0438\u044f<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">1.
