AMA sunt anticorpi f\u0103r\u0103 specificitate de organ, \u00eendrepta\u0163i \u00eempotriva unei lipoproteine din membrana intern\u0103 a mitocondriei.<\/p>\n

AMA reprezint\u0103 un marker serologic pentru ciroza biliar\u0103 primitiv\u0103 (prevalen\u0163a 90-96%), afec\u0163iune caracterizat\u0103 prin distruc\u0163ia progresiv\u0103 a c\u0103ilor biliare interlobulare, cu inducerea colestazei \u015fi, \u00een final, a cirozei hepatice. Aceast\u0103 boal\u0103 apare predominant la femei, av\u00e2nd o predispozi\u0163ie genetic\u01034<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Antigenele mitocondriale recunoscute de AMA au fost clasificate \u00een 9 subtipuri (M1-M9), M2 fiind subtipul cel mai str\u00e2ns asociat cu ciroza biliar\u0103 primitiv\u0103 (99% din pacien\u0163i) 1;<\/sup>3<\/sup> .<\/p>\n
