Ei pot fi detecta\u0163i\u00a0\u00een titru ridicat pentru o scurt\u0103 perioad\u0103 de timp\u00a0\u00een cursul stadiului acut al bolii, interval ce acoper\u0103 fereastra serologic\u0103, dup\u0103 care scad la niveluri joase, caracteristice fazei de convalescen\u0163\u0103<sup>3<\/sup>. Titrul cel mai mare de anti-HBc-IgM este depistat \u00een s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2nile 2-3 de boal\u0103. \u00cen majoritatea cazurilor ace\u015fti anticorpi r\u0103m\u00e2n detectabili o perioad\u0103 mai mare de 2 luni \u015fi, \u00eentr-un procent redus, mai mult de 1 an, chiar\u00a0\u00een condi\u0163iile vindec\u0103rii hepatitei<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00cempreun\u0103 cu anti-HBc pot fi singurii markeri serologici prezen\u0163i dup\u0103 ce AgHBs \u015fi AgHBe au disp\u0103rut, dar \u00eenainte ca anticorpii corespunz\u0103tori s\u0103 fi ap\u0103rut, \u015fi pot diferen\u0163ia infec\u0163ia acut\u0103 cu VHB de cea cronic\u0103.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Testele de determinare a anticorpilor anti-HBc-IgM se fac \u00eempreun\u0103 cu determin\u0103rile de antigen HBs, pentru identificarea infec\u0163iilor acute cu virusul hepatitei B<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Anti-HBc-IgM pot fi detecta\u0163i \u015fi \u00een hepatita cronic\u0103 B, \u00eens\u0103 aproape \u00eentotdeauna \u00een titruri mici. \u00cen hepatita cronic\u0103 B prezen\u0163a \u015fi titrul anti-HBc-IgM se coreleaz\u0103 cu activitatea inflamatorie a bolii.
