HFRS este endemic\u0103 \u00een Europa \u0219i Rusia. HPS este endemic\u0103 \u00een Argentina, precum \u0219i \u00een alte \u021b\u0103ri din America de Nord \u0219i de Sud. Hantavirusurile produc sindromul pulmonar hantavirus (HPS)\u00a0 avand ca vectori de transmitere \u0219obolanii \u0219i \u0219oarecii din familia\u00a0<em>Muridae<\/em>, subfamilia\u00a0<em>Sigmodontinae<\/em>. Subfamilia Sigmodontinae con\u021bine cel pu\u021bin 430 de specii, care sunt r\u0103sp\u00e2ndite \u00een America de Nord \u0219i de Sud. \u00cen general, fiecare virus are o singur\u0103 gazd\u0103 primar\u0103 (roz\u0103toare). \u0218i alte mamifere mici pot fi infectate, dar sunt mult mai pu\u021bin susceptibile de a transmite virusul c\u0103tre alte animale sau oameni. \u0218oarecele de c\u0103prioar\u0103 este gazda virusului Sin Nombre (SNV), principalul agent cauzal al HPS.<\/p>\n<p>HFRS \u0219i HPS sunt de obicei dob\u00e2ndite prin c\u0103ile respiratorii superioare prin inhalarea aerosolilor contamina\u021bi cu virus<sup>1,2,3<\/sup>\u00a0De\u0219i patogeneza acestora r\u0103m\u00e2ne \u00een mare parte necunoscut\u0103, studiile postmortem ale \u021besuturilor au identificat celulele endoteliale ca \u021bint\u0103 principal\u0103 a infec\u021biei<sup>2,3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Infec\u021bia cu \u00a0hantavirus este caracterizat\u0103 prin edem pulmonar, hipoxie \u0219i hipotensiune. De obicei, rezult\u0103 prin expunerea la fecale de \u0219oareci sau urin\u0103 infectate \u00een 1 p\u00e2n\u0103 la 3 s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2ni anterioare debutului simptomelor \u0219i poate duce la deces \u00een c\u00e2teva zile<sup>4<\/sup>. Dup\u0103 cum este descris de Centrele pentru Controlul \u0219i Prevenirea Bolilor (CDC), pacien\u021bii prezint\u0103 de obicei un sindrom febril scurt de 3-5 zile. Pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 febr\u0103 \u0219i mialgii, simptomele timpurii includ cefalee, frisoane, ame\u021beli, tuse neproductiv\u0103, grea\u021b\u0103, v\u0103rs\u0103turi \u0219i alte simptome gastro-intestinale<sup>5<\/sup>. Constat\u0103rile tipice la prezentarea ini\u021bial\u0103 includ febr\u0103, tahipnee \u0219i tahicardie, cu un examen fizic normal<sup>8<\/sup>. In faz\u0103 acut\u0103\u00a0 prezen\u021ba IgM\u00a0 va diagnostica boala hantaviral\u0103, iar in convalescent\u0103, prezen\u021ba de Ig G ar trebui s\u0103 reflecte o cre\u0219tere de patru ori a titrului acestora. Anticorpii IgG persista o lung\u0103 durat\u0103 de timp, iar serurile pacien\u021bilor identifica\u021bi retrospectiv par s\u0103 men\u021bin\u0103 anticorpii mai mul\u021bi ani.
