La femei, multe infec\u021bii sunt asimptomatice, iar prevalen\u021ba real\u0103 a gonoreei este probabil mult mai mare dec\u00e2t cea raportat\u0103. Bacteria provoac\u0103 infec\u021bii genito-urinale la femei \u0219i b\u0103rba\u021bi \u0219i poate fi asociat\u0103 cu disurie, precum \u0219i cu secre\u021bii vaginale, uretrale \u0219i\/sau rectale<sup>1,2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Neisseria gonorrhoeae<\/em>\u00a0induce infec\u021bie localizat\u0103 la locul de inoculare, de obicei uretra, colul uterin, faringe sau anus la adul\u021bi \u0219i conjunctiva ocular\u0103 sau faringele,la nou-n\u0103scu\u021bi. Agentul patogen\u00a0<em>Neisseria gonorrhoeae<\/em>\u00a0infecteaz\u0103 exclusiv omul \u0219i se manifest\u0103 cel mai frecvent ca uretrita la b\u0103rba\u021bi \u0219i cervicita la femei. Pentru a supravie\u021bui, aceste bacterii trebuie s\u0103 infecteze o gazd\u0103 \u0219i nu pot supravie\u021bui \u00een afara acesteia.<\/p>\n<p>Infec\u021biile urogenitale gonoreice nediagnosticate \u0219i\/sau netratate pot ascensiona la nivelul tractului urogenital superior \u0219i pot provoca o serie de complica\u021bii grave, cum ar fi endometrita, boala inflamatorie pelvin\u0103, infertilitatea, cel mai frecvent, dar nu exclusiv, la femei, fiind implicat\u0103 chiar \u0219i \u00een mortalitate, pun\u00e2nd via\u021ba \u00een pericol prin favorizarea sarcinilor ectopice<sup>3-5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Complica\u021biile poten\u021biale includ boala inflamatorie pelvin\u0103 la femei \u0219i epididimita \u0219i prostatita gonococic\u0103, la b\u0103rba\u021bi. Pot ap\u0103rea \u0219i bacteriemie gonococic\u0103, faringit\u0103 \u0219i artrit\u0103. Infec\u021bia la b\u0103rba\u021bi este de obicei asociat\u0103 cu simptome care determina nevoia unei evalu\u0103ri clinice. Av\u00e2nd \u00een vedere riscul de infec\u021bie asimptomatic\u0103 la femei, screening-ul este recomandat pentru cele cu risc crescut, de exemplu, femeile cu gonoree anterioar\u0103 sau alte infec\u021bii cu transmitere sexual\u0103, utilizarea inconsecvent\u0103 a prezervativului, parteneri sexuali noi sau multipli \u0219i femeile din anumite grupuri demografice, cum ar fi cele \u00een comunit\u0103\u021bile cu prevalen\u021b\u0103 ridicat\u0103 a infec\u021biilor cu transmitere sexual\u0103<sup>1,3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Cultura bacterian\u0103 de rutin\u0103 a fost considerat\u0103 anterior testul standardul de aur pentru diagnosticul infec\u021biei cu\u00a0<em>Neisseria gonorrhoeae<\/em>. Rezultatele trebuie interpretate \u00eempreun\u0103 cu alte informa\u021bii de laborator \u0219i clinice.<\/p>\n<p>Un rezultat negativ al testului nu exclude posibilitatea infec\u021biei.
