Datorit\u0103 mobilit\u0103\u0163ii lor extreme, eozinofilele penetreaz\u0103 rapid \u00een \u0163esutul inflamat \u015fi elibereaz\u0103 local diferi\u0163i mediatori ce se g\u0103sesc \u00een granulele proprii<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Astfel, granulele specifice ale eozinofilelor con\u0163in proteine preformate care includ at\u00e2t proteine cationice specifice c\u00e2t \u015fi diverse citokine \u015fi chemokine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proteinele cationice din granulele eozinofilelor au fost mult studiate datorit\u0103 abunden\u0163ei lor \u015fi capacita\u0163ii lor de a exercita efecte multiple asupra celulelor gazdei \u015fi \u0163intelor microbiene<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proteina cationic\u0103 a eozinofilelor (ECP) are o mas\u0103 molecular\u0103 cuprins\u0103 \u00eentre 16 \u015fi 21 kDa, fiind exprimat\u0103 \u00een eozinofilele umane \u00eentr-o cantitate de 15pg\/celula<sup>3<\/sup>. In interiorul granulelor ECP este localizat\u0103 la nivelul matricei din jurul por\u0163iunii <em>core<\/em><sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Studii mai vechi au ar\u0103tat c\u0103 ECP este o ribonucleaz\u0103 (RNA-aza) care exercit\u0103 efecte bactericide, induce degranularea mastocitelor \u015fi are o ac\u0163iune citotoxic\u0103 asupra parazi\u0163ilor helmintici. Se crede c\u0103 mecanismul de ac\u0163iune al ECP implic\u0103 formarea de pori sau canale \u00een membrana \u0163int\u0103, care aparent nu este dependent\u0103 de activitatea ribonucleazic\u0103 reversibil\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ECP este cunoscut\u0103 mai ales prin abilitatea sa de a genera fenomenul Gordon atunci c\u00e2nd este injectat\u0103 \u00een ventriculii cranieni ai iepurilor: distrugerea celulelor Purkinje \u015fi modific\u0103ri de tip spongiform la nivelul cerebelului, pun\u0163ii \u015fi m\u0103duvei spin\u0103rii<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Niveluri crescute de ECP au fost detectate \u00een serul, sputa \u015fi secre\u0163iile nazale ale pacien\u0163ilor care sufer\u0103 o reac\u0163ie alergic\u0103 de faz\u0103 tardiv\u0103 (la 6-24 ore de la expunere), c\u00e2nd influxul de eozinofile predomin\u0103 \u00een zona reactiv\u0103<sup>4<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nivelul ECP \u00een ser reflect\u0103 mai bine dec\u00e2t IgE procesul inflamator alergic, adic\u0103 nivelul de activare a eozinofilelor; se coreleaz\u0103 foarte bine cu activitatea bolii, deci cu severitatea atopiei.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Acest parametru de laborator este util pentru obiectivarea \u015fi supravegherea terapiei \u00een astmul bronsic \u015fi dermatita atopic\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pacien\u0163ii astmatici cu inflama\u0163ie eozinofilic\u0103 (alergic\u0103) prezint\u0103 niveluri crescute de ECP \u00een ser \u015fi \u00een alte fluide: lavajul bronhoalveolar\u00a0\u015fi sputa indus\u0103.
