Prin legarea interleukinei-2 de acest receptor pe suprafa\u0163a limfocitelor T, se transmit \u00een interiorul celulelor o serie de semnale care au ca rezultat activarea \u015fi proliferarea limfocitelor. Sunt generate astfel limfocitele T helper, T supresor \u015fi T citotoxic care mediaz\u0103 reac\u0163iile imune.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Receptorul pentru IL-2 este un complex proteic membranar compus din 3 subunit\u0103\u0163i: \u03b1, \u03b2, \u03b3. Exist\u0103 trei forme celulare ale acestui receptor:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">un complex cu afinitate crescut\u0103 pentru interleukina-2 compus din toate cele trei subunit\u0103\u0163i \u03b1, \u03b2, \u03b3;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">un complex cu afinitate intermediar\u0103 compus din subunit\u0103\u0163ile \u03b2 \u015fi \u03b3;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">o forma cu afinitate sc\u0103zut\u0103 reprezentat\u0103 numai de subunitatea \u03b1<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Subunitatea \u03b1 prezint\u0103 o form\u0103 solubil\u0103 care apare \u00een ser \u00een paralel cu cre\u015fterea expresiei celulare a receptorului.
